Understanding Our Services

Our Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) services under the NDIS framework offer personalised support to enhance the development and well-being of young children with disabilities, ensuring they achieve their full potential in these crucial early years.

What is Early Childhood Early Intervention?

Little Steps Early Intervention works closely with families and carers of children under the age of 9 who have developmental delays or disability to learn, grow and develop.

The approach supports families to help their child develop the skills they need to take part in daily activities and achieve the best outcomes throughout their lives.

What does a Special Educator do in Early Intervention?

Special Educators help children with:

  • Socialisation and play skills
  • Independence: self-care and emotional skills
  • Communication development and following instructions
  • Thinking skills, attention and turn taking skills

We have loved every minute that we have had with Sophie, nothing is a drama, happy to work around us, nothing is a bother, very professional whilst also guiding us through our path with James. James loves spending time with Sophie and looks forward to it every week.

Could not recommend Sophie enough, she has been a blessing for us.

I highly recommend Sophie from Little Steps Early intervention.

My son has a developmental delay and I was desperately seeking help with his behaviour.

Initially, I was worried about wait lists for early intervention support due to a lack of professionals in the New England. Thankfully we found Sophie and have started our journey together.

My son has responded positively to Sophie, which is great he was able to connect with an early intervention professional.

I am now hopeful we can find some strategies to help my son manage his emotions and get him ready to start school next year.

Thank you Sophie

Professional yet caring, Sophie was able to build an almost instant rapport with my child. Her wholistic approach to education shows not only her understanding and ability to cater to the special needs of her clients but also that she sees them as unique individuals with their own strengths on which to build. I would definitely recommend her to anyone seeking assistance in developing the life skills and school readiness of their child.
